Inga Rose, head of Human Capital Management at "Hengye Electroncis Industria S.A"

The Minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges, presided last Friday, 09/10/2020, the ceremony for the launching of the first stone for the construction of the first plant of smart meters for energy and water in the country, a project to be implemented by the company Hengye Electronics-Industry S.A, Angolan law with Chinese partnership

Hengye is human capital Management Company, having recruited the first 70 technicians out of a total of 350 professionals it will recruit by the end of 2021.

The aforementioned project aims to contribute to improving the quality of life for Angolans, especially with the advantages of the prepaid electrical system, which allows customers energy consumption with full control over their costs without the need to receive an invoice at the end of the month.

The project, valued at more than USD 20 million, is projected to produce 319,000 and 200 single-phase meters and 19,800 three-phase meters to serve the domestic market, thus contributing to the diversification of the economy and to reduce imports of these goods. At least 350 jobs will be created with the implementation of the manufacturing unit. The works will last for three months and are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2021.
